About Infinity Functional Health

Hope Rabel Nurse Practitioner

Hope Rabel is a Family Nurse Practitioner and IFM Certified Practitioner with a passion for helping people understand and improve their health through an individualized, whole-person approach to care.

During her undergraduate nursing degree, Hope developed a strong interest in health and wellness. She began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse in a rural emergency department, where she gained extensive experience in the assessment, recognition, and treatment of a wide variety of acute and complex health conditions. Her experience in this setting, combined with her desire to provide a deeper level of care, inspired her to complete a Master of Nursing degree and become a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Early in her Nurse Practitioner career, Hope was introduced to bioidentical hormone replacement therapy through one of her graduate instructors. This sparked an interest in the role hormones can play in health and wellbeing and led her to pursue additional education in hormone assessment and treatment.

Hope began her Nurse Practitioner career working in a home care clinic on a First Nations reserve. This experience was invaluable in developing her ability to work with people of different ages, backgrounds, experiences, and communication styles. It also reinforced an important principle that continues to shape her practice: health is highly individual and influenced by a person's genetics, environment, lifestyle, experiences, and determinants of health.

As her clinical experience evolved, so did Hope's approach to healthcare. She became increasingly interested in looking beyond the management of individual symptoms and understanding the underlying factors that may contribute to chronic health concerns. This led her to pursue extensive advanced education in functional medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), completing advanced practice training in areas including hormones, gastrointestinal health, bioenergetics, cardiometabolic health, immune health, and environmental health. Hope is now IFM Board Certified in Functional Medicine.

Hope integrates her conventional medical training with functional medicine principles to develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's symptoms, history, clinical findings, laboratory results, lifestyle, and personal health goals. She believes that good healthcare involves not only treating illness, but also understanding the factors that contribute to health and helping patients take an active role in their well-being.

When working with Hope, patients can expect a collaborative and personalized approach to care. She believes that patients are the experts in their own health and that the best healthcare decisions are made through partnership, education, and open communication. Her goal is to work alongside each patient to understand the bigger picture, identify opportunities to improve health, and create a plan that is both evidence-informed and aligned with the patient's individual goals.
